Rachel Domond

is a queer Black woman, community organizer, urban farmer, and self-taught artist based in Roxbury (Boston), Massachusetts. Her art combines elements of those pieces of her identity, exploring issues of land, food justice and sovereignty, community, and liberation politics. She looks to Black women and their ancestral relationship to the Earth, particularly those of Quisqueya (or Haiti, where her paternal ties are rooted) as inspiration in creating her pieces. Rachel's primary medium is acrylic paint, though she also plays with colored pencils and is interested in experimenting with mixed media in the future.
